Alan J. San Martin is a Peruvian-Canadian mining engineer by training and an experienced Mineral Resource Specialist with Micon International Limited. Mr. San Martin is a Chartered Professional in Geology of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy - AusIMM, he's an expert in the Art and Science of Mineral Resource Estimation and has been working in the mineral industry since 1999, he is naturally talented using mining software and particularly enjoys doing geological data management for exploration projects; he has worked in a variety of mineral properties located all across North and South America.
As Senior Geological Modeller and Database Manager with Aurelian Resources Inc. Mr. San Martin was part of the discovery team of the Fruta Del Norte (FDN) world-class gold deposit in Ecuador, he was responsible for organizing, building and managing the computer systems and geological databases, conducting resource estimates as required.
At the beginning
Back on his early career, Mr. San Martin gained experience in Mine Project Development in Tambo Grande VMS Deposit in Peru where he worked with Manhattan Minerals Corp. as mining engineer responsible for GIS and CAD maps and database administration. He supplied data, drawings and designs for the Feasibility Study and EIA; supported community relations assessments and negotiations; prepared and participated in public audiences and other presentations for the Peruvian government.
